About Us
Founded by Laurie and Jason, Ruffin’ It was born out of necessity. Their Weimaraner pup, Stella, suffered from severe separation anxiety creating a need for a fun place for her to spend her days while her parents worked. In 2013 there wasn’t a facility in Northern Kentucky that would meet the needs of the well socialized pup, Stella, while at the same time servicing her older and not so dog friendly brother, Schultz. Laurie and Jason recognized the need for a common place to accommodate dogs of different personalities within the same household. It was important for Stella and Schultz to stay together while Laurie and Jason travelled. Ruffin’ It was designed to let the social butterflies spread their wings while giving the other siblings a place to relax.
Laurie and Jason, both natives of Northern Kentucky, graduated from NKU. They live in Villa Hills with their two Weimaraners, Burke and Stella. Jason is an outdoor enthusiast, always seeking out a new trail to explore or stream to kayak. Under not so extreme circumstances, Laurie and the pups are happy to tag along. The family shares a common love for lake life, sneaking away on weekends to relax and enjoy the waters of Rough River Lake.

Our Mission
Our goal is to provide the ultimate experience for the dog and the dog owner. We strive to provide pups with a safe, healthy, and happy place to stay and play while providing owners with peace of mind knowing their dogs are being cared for in a professional, safe, and loving environment. We aim to provide the highest level of customer care and service as a full–service dog daycare and boarding facility. We opened Ruffin' It Doggie Daycare in July of 2015 with the intent of helping dogs become better pets. We know what it’s like to get a new cute puppy and not have the time during the day to train and socialize them. We want you to be able to pick up a happy and tired dog at the end of your day. Picking up a happy and balanced dog at the end of your day makes your time together enjoyable.
